Welcome to Brazil. Your tour begins in Rio de Janeiro, also known as “The Marvelous City.”
Meet your guide and driver at RIOgaleão – Tom Jobim International Airport and take a transfer to your hotel.
Rio is home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the statue of Christ the Redeemer. Admire this impressive 38m (124 ft) monument on a tour of Corcovado Mountain & the Tijuca Forest.
Board a cog train up Corcovado Mountain and take in incredible views of the verdant Tijuca Forest and the bustling Carioca city.
Spend the evening at your leisure. You can visit Copacabana, the most emblematic beach in Rio.
After breakfast, head to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain, 395m (1,296 ft) high. Enjoy a panoramic view of the city and its surrounding beaches and forests. Visit the historical region of Rio de Janeiro and learn about the history of Brazil.
In the afternoon and evening, enjoy some free time to spend as you choose. We recommend you opt for a Samba Dinner Show, where dancers give riveting performances of Brazil’s musical history, from slavery to the modern day, with Bossa Nova, samba, and Brazilian pop tunes accompanying the dynamic show.
After breakfast, your guide will take you to the airport for your 5-hour flight to Manaus, the capital of Brazil’s Amazonias State. Upon arrival in Manaus, you will be escorted to your hotel.
Manaus is a city that thrives on exports from the Amazon region, including rubber and Brazil nuts. The city sits along the bank of the Rio Negro, where the river joins with the Solimöes River. These two important rivers form the Amazon River.
Today your Amazon tour begins. The Amazon lodges are ideal for adventurous travelers who want to discover the largest rainforest on Earth. Depending on your departure time, you might have some free time in the morning to explore the city on your own or you can take a city tour.
In the afternoon, your guide will take you on a motorboat ride along the river to the lodge. Meet your guide and the staff to learn about the lodge’s facilities and the tours you are going to take the following days. One tour we always recommend are the night safari tours where you can discover the nocturnal fauna of the Amazon such as alligators, bats, and frogs.
All meals and guided excursions are included at the lodge. After breakfast, your guide will take you on varying excursions; choose from hiking through the jungle, visits to local caboclo village, a trip to the Monkey Jungle exhibit, canoe rides, and more.
You’re likely to see abundant wildlife and exotic flora. Your guides are naturalists’ experts and can point out medicinal plants, along with spotting macaw and parrots, and identify the calls of various animals.
The evenings include gatherings at the lodge for dinner, drinks, educational presentations, and entertainment like dancing and live music.
After breakfast, take the motorboat back to Manaus. Along the way, enjoy a tour through the “Meeting of the Waters,” where the Rio Negro and Rio Solimoes run side by side without mixing. Once in Manaus, head to the airport for your flight back to Rio.
After breakfast, Transfer to the airport. It’s time to depart Brazil and head back home with memories that will last for lifetime.
